Well it all started with a match.com! After all those nutters he met, it was nice to find Gemma who was only 'slightly crazy'.
Mike loved her competitive side as proven on their first date bowling . He enjoyed their conversation, although now struggles to get a word in!
Mike's slight obsession with agility is now shared with Gemma and her competitive nature. From coming to support Mike she now trains their dog Max.
Mike quickly knew that he wanted to spend more and more time with her so it wasn't long before Gemma moved into the bachelor pad.
He soon knew that he didn't want to throw this fish back into the pond, so it was time to propose. For those that know Mike, keeping secrets isn't a strong point, so planning and organising the proposal for four months in secret was no easy task! Cornwall was the perfect place to do it and for those of you with a keen eye for detail, we come full circle as exactly a year to the day they are getting married.

Gemma Siddle

Born on the coast in Cleethorpes, it's no surprise Mike knew the best place to propose was on the beach in Porthcothan, Cornwall. Once Mike had pried away the camera from Gemma as they approached the proposal spot on Mike's favourite beach, she was totally surprised and overwhelmed by Mikes efforts. Not only a beautiful ring, champagne and wonderful words to the crashing of the waves but she was doubly impressed at how Mike had worked out her ring size.

From the first date bowling in Stevenage (classy), chatting and enjoying a drink afterwards until politely being asked to leave because the bar had closed and everyone else had left without them noticing, to a peck on the cheek outside in the snow, Gemma knew she had found a good'un. This little northern monkey had found her southern fairy. Since then she has had adventures, walks and fun weekends in the caravan with the dogs and Mike.

It seems like Gemma has hit the jackpot as Mike bakes and cooks; in fact so well that he can't remember the last time she did!
